NLC staff from Brockville to travel to Africa in May 2010 to help orphaned children

Janet Saunders, from Northern Lights Canada's Vocational Rehabilitation Team in Brockville, has created a not-for-profit organization called Afri-Can Aids Foundation, which supports orphaned and vulnerable children and their caregivers in Africa.

In May, 2010, Jan will lead a team of nurses from St. Lawrence College on a three week journey to help the St. Martin’s Project in Africa. The St. Martin's Project has served over 400-600 children in Africa to date. It is hoped that this trip will result in children being supported so that St. Martin's can remain in operation. Otherwise, it may have to close down in the next couple of years.
