Are you a placement agency?

We are not a placement agency, but we are an Employment Resource Centre.

Do I have to be on Employment Insurance Benefits to access the services offered?

No, the service is available to everyone and free of charge.

Do you have information on colleges and universities?

Yes we do. We have printed resources and most of these universities and colleges use online calendars on each college and university website.

Do you have job postings and are they local only?

Yes, we have job postings and they are updated frequently. We mainly post local jobs/careers but we have a list of websites that offer you a variety of search engines and job search sites that are local, provincial and national.

How much are your services?

All of our Employment Ontario services are free of charge. We are funded in part by the Government of Canada.

If I don’t have a computer at home where can I print my resume and cover letter?

You can print your resume and cover letter here at the centre - we have computers, printers, photocopiers and fax machines available for your use.

I’m about to be laid off - can you give me information on how to proceed?

Yes, please feel free to call our centre and book an appointment to speak to an Employment Counselor who will answer all your inquiries about this service.

What if I have a question that has not been answered here?

Who do I speak to about resumes, cover letters, Second Career, Employment Insurance and/or workshops?

We have Employment Specialists who are available to discuss your job search tools such as resumes, cover letters and interview tips. Our Employment Counselors are available to discuss your Second Career questions or any related changes of career information (to see an Employment Counselor please call our centre to book an appointment).
